UCM Installation Step By Step



After creation of repository we will learn how to install UCM.

Open a web browser and open the link specified below to download Webcenter Content Server.


Accept the license agreement and click on “Download File 1”. After finishing download also click on “Download File 2” and download the same.


Following two file will be downloaded.

  1. “ofm_wcc_generic_11.1.1.7.0_disk1_1of2.zip” and

  1. “ofm_wcc_generic_11.1.1.7.0_disk1_2of2.zip”.

Extract the file “ofm_wcc_generic_11.1.1.7.0_disk1_1of2.zip” and go to “Disk1” folder and Copy all content. Now create one Folder with name “UCM” and paste your entire copied file in “UCM” folder.In my case I have created “UCM” folder inside “D:\” directory. Also extract the “ofm_wcc_generic_11.1.1.7.0_disk1_2of2.zip” in “UCM” folder. After extraction you can see the following content in you “UCM” folder.






Now go to D:\UCM\Install\win 32 and run “setup.exe” file.


Click on “Yes” if some windows warning come.

Then following screen will be appear.



 

  Now go to location where “weblogic” server is installed and copy the “JRE” path. In my case it is “D:\Oracle\Middleware\jdk160_24\jre” .

Now paste this path in the command window and press enter.

Now wait for some time until this window disappears and new window open. This duration may be 0-5 minutes.

Then the following screen will come.

Click on “Next”.'


Select radio button for “Skip Software Update” and click on “Next”.




 Then following screen will appear.



Select the “Oracle Middleware Home” as the home where your “Weblogic 10.3.5” server is installed.

In my case it is installed in “D:\Oracle\Middleware” directory.


Key the “Oracle Home Directory” as “Oracle_ECM1” ans click on “Next”.




 Click on “Next”.


 

Click on “Install”.



Now the installation will be started.



When the installation will reach at 69% the a dialogue will come to change the disk. Click on “Browse” button.


Go to the path where you have extracted the Disk2 means under “UCM” folder. Select the “Disk2” and click on “Open”.



Your installation will processed further.



When installation is completed click on “Next”.




Click on “Finish” to finish the installation.
